BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chris Booth, Helen Phillips, Karen Bogadi, Donna Aybar, Judy Frank, Linda Shaver, Joann Kraatz, Mary Sheldon, and Liz Gray.

Chris Booth called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. The July 10, 2017 general meeting minutes stand approved as posted.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS AND STANDING COMMITTEES:
President: No report.
Vice President: No report.
Secretary: No report.
Treasurer: Treasurer’s report is available on the website.
Programs: Linda Shaver reported Karen Bogadi taught a traditional needle turn appliqué class on July 27.
On August 7, Mary Sheldon held a skill builders workshop in preparation for the Camden bag class to be held on August 22.
In September, Sue Whaples will have a class on a Judy Niemeyer table topper. Sue displayed the table topper and noted class participants will need to purchase a pattern and ruler.
Linda Shaver and Pam Murphy are working on fall classes and workshops. The Farmer’s Wife Group is not meeting at this time, and the Modern Quilt group will return the first Friday in September.
Community Service: Donna Aybar read a thank you note from Southwest Advocacy. Last week, 20 dog beds were made from fabric scraps for the Humane Society.
On August 15, there will be a second workshop for the red, white and blue community service project.
Long Arm: No report.

Social: Mary Sheldon reported socials are being planned for September and October.
Librarian: No report.
Historian: No report.
Webmaster: No report.
Display Window: Liz Gray thanked Karen Bogadi for sharing her quilts for display in the window. Sue Whaples volunteered to provide a quilt for display in September.
Opportunity Quilt: Chris Booth reported Sun Valley Quilts has agreed to let us display and sell tickets for our 2017 Opportunity Quilt at some time during the shop hop scheduled for October 6-14. Plans are being made to display and sell tickets at Arizona Quilts the first of November.
Chris also noted we need a volunteer to quilt the 2018 Opportunity Quilt.
Wendy Gilbert reminded members there are still quilt tops in cabinet 23 from the community service project held on April 11 that need to be quilted. Those quilts will then be shown this fall.
Chris Booth reported the Road to California bus is half full. The trip is scheduled for January 18-21, 2018.
Chris noted Edna De Ford will be taking a quilt to Sue Jackson who is fighting cancer.
Linda Shaver moved the meeting be adjourned, and Lynn Hupp seconded. Members approved.
