December 5, 2016 

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:  Linda Labenz, Chris Booth, Barb Van Trump,Iris Weise, Millissa Masters, Linda Shaver, Linda Publicover and Jean Fry.

Also present: Webmaster-Ronda Jones and Documentation chair-Donna Wisnoski.

Linda called the meeting to order at 9:05 am.  Chris Booth moved the minutes of the December 5, 2016, Board Meeting be accepted; Iris Weise seconded; accepted by the members present. 

Reports of Officers and Standing Committees: 

President: New members are Irene Lucas, Cheryl Skummer, Carole Schumacher, JoAnne Clements, Sue Hills, Kathleen Tyrfter, Karen Ludwig, Diane Dill, Cindy Wiest, Kathy Perkins, Helen Groves and Arlene Simpson. 

Vice President: December meeting/luncheon will be on the 12th at the ballroom.  Doors open at 11:00, lunch will be served at noon. There are currently 87 reserved.

Secretary: A sympathy card was sent to Donna Wisnoski.

Treasurer: There is $12,626.76 in the treasury.
A receipt was received for a new iron.  Also bills for the November/Jackie Kunkel meeting were presented. 

Programs:  The Jackie Kunkel trunk show was a great success with the group nearing 175 people.
Quilting 101 will start on January 5 and runs 6 weeks, the class is full with a waiting list.
The star class is scheduled for December 13th, from 9-1pm. 

Community Service:  There were fourteen quilts delivered in November. 
New Life center received 36 zippy stripy bags.
Batting so far this year has a cost $932.90.

Long arm:  Mike Publicover made some repairs to the machine. 

Opportunity Quilt, 2016:  Sales during the Creative Arts festival reached $530.  During the November/Jackie Kunkel $179 was sold and five dollars at Ritter Ranch.

Documentation Project: The next meeting will be on January 13 at 12:30-4 pm.  Following dates will be February 10, March 10, April 14 and May 12.

Social:  Donna Ayber has planned a get-together at Tree of Oil January 11, please contact her for more details. 

Unfinished Business: The quilt "Gravity" is still being worked on for the Crisis Pregnancy Center.
Barb Van Trump has collected a list of 15 veteran names that would like quilts.
We will need to schedule a sew day for Red/White/Blue quilts.
Opportunity Quilt 2017 is finished and will be reveiled at the January meeting. 

New Business: It was addressed that we reimburse Mike Publicover for his time for repairs on the long arm.  A motion was made by Ronda Jones, seconded by Millissa Masters to to do this as a one time event.  Voted on and passed by members present. A gift card to Dunkin' Donuts will be given for $50.

December General Business/Luncheon will be on the 12 in the Tuscany Ballroom.
Next Board meeting will be on January 3rd at 9am.
