BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:  Chris Booth, Iris Weise, Helen Phillips, JoEllen Cruze, Karen Bogadi, Donna Aybar, Judy Frank, Linda Shaver, Linda Publicover, Joanne Kraatz, Pam Branfuhr, Mary Sheldon, Shirley Cushing, and Liz Gray.
Also present:  Webmaster Ronda Jones, and Nancy Treece, Emeritus 

Chris Booth called the meeting to order at 11:50 a.m.  The November 13, 2017 membership meeting minutes stand approved as posted.  


President:  Chris Booth welcomed new members and guests. 

Sue Godwin’s family donated a quilted bear made by Sue Godwin for a raffle and the funds raised will be donated to Wounded Warriors in Sue’s memory.  Raffle tickets were sold, drawing was conducted, and Jan Johnson won the bear. 

Priscilla Naworski gave a short history of the Pebblecreek Quilters and Sue Godwin’s contributions as a member and past president. 

Vice President:  No report.
Secretary:  No report. 

Treasurer:  JoEllen Cruze stated the current balance is $13,190.  Treasurer’s report is available on the website. 

Programs/Education:  Linda Shaver reported Carolyn Ryder taught a pinked edge appliqué technique at the November 28 skill builders’ class.
Karen Bogadi taught the final pinhead class, “Funky Chicken,” on November 30.
Marlene Kuskie taught a paper rose class on December 5.
Pam Murphy and Linda Shaver taught a Snowman class using a scrappy background on December 12.
Linda Publicover conducted a Christmas stocking workshop on December 17.
Quilting 101 leaders and class teachers during 2017 were recognized. 

Community Service:  Donna Aybar reported 173 quilts, 70 breast cancer pillows, 60 dog beds, 25 receiving blankets and 71 hope bags to the New Life Center were donated during 2017.  In addition, 25 quilts were donated in November to the veterans.

Display Window:  No report. 


Quilt Show:  Chris Booth reported the quilt show is set for March 18.  Millissa Masters and Barb Maurer will be in charge of the quilt show. 

Barb Maurer detailed the current plans for the quilt show.  Forms were distributed to the members to designate times they can volunteer.  Additional forms were provided to members to complete for any quilting item to be displayed.  Each member can display up to 3 quilt items.  Forms need to be returned by February 12. 
Items needed for the quilt show include:  swivel hangers with clips, over the door hangers, Christmas wreath hangers, quilt racks, aluminum kitchen ladders, and clothing drying racks.  All items need to be marked with names on masking tape so they can be properly returned after the show.

Challenge Quilt:  No report.

Opportunity Quilt:  Chris Booth thanked Cheryl McGovern and Donna Cousino for their work on the 2017 Opportunity Quilt.  A drawing for the quilt commenced and the winning ticket was purchased by Marlene Kuskie.

Pam Branfuhr moved the meeting be adjourned, and Kathleen O’Connell seconded.  Members approved.
