PebbleCreek Quilters

Just a little note to say Thanks!  PebbleCreek Quilters,

Thank you for donating the beautiful "baby Girl" basket that I won.  I hope you do not mind, but I split it up and mad half a dozen bags for foster children.  I just added baby bottles, rattles, blankets, pacifiers, etc. to each.

In February they will be donated to the "Just For Me" project that you will see on TV.

Your group is amazing.  I am so proud to read what you donate to so many organizations.

PebbleCreek Quilters Prepare for Christmas Gift Giving

The PC Quilters not only create gifts for their own family and friends, they have been busy this fall preparing for others.  The members spent a day making  small unique bags that will be given to New Life Center participants.  The 34 bags will be filled with toiletries as well.  The children of New Life Center will select bags to give to their mothers for Christmas.  Each bag was designed differently so that the children might have a large selection.  New Life Center offers shelter, safety and service to families seeking independent and violence-free lives.  New Life Center provides high quality programs that demonstrate respect for the individual and a serene environment for families to heal from domestic violence and plan for the future.

A Thank You Note

Veterans of Pebblecreek  Recognized by PC Quilters.

For the second year, PebbleCreek veterans were recognized November 11, 2018 at A Salute to Our Veterans program in the Renaissance Theater.  Liz Gray and other members spent the year organizing and recruiting members to create patriotic quilts to be given to the veterans.  Each unique quilt was designed by a member and the beauty of the red, white and blue was designed into each quilt.

The Presentation of Patriotic Quilts was led by Tom Booth, a retired Air Force veteran.     Quilts were presented to 24 veterans of all branches of the armed forces of the United States.  PC quilters truly appreciate the service given by our own PC residents and wanted to recognize their presence within our community.  Shown is a recipient, Jim Snider, and his patriotic quilt that he received.
