ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
January 9, 2017
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chris Booth, Iris Weise, Helen Phillips, Karen Bogadi, Donna Aybar, Linda Shaver, Pam Murphy, Linda Publicover, Pam Branfuhr, and Liz Gray.
Also present: Webmaster Ronda Jones, Nancy Treece, Emeritus
Chris Booth called the meeting to order at 6:54 p.m. The December 12. 2016 general meeting minutes were corrected in the last line under Programs to read projects on the fourth “Tuesday.” Minutes were approved as corrected.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS AND STANDING COMMITTEES:
President: Chris Booth thanked Pam Murphy and Linda Shaver for demonstrations given prior to general meeting. There will be a demonstration on how to use our website prior to the February general meeting.
Any bills to be paid should be submitted to the treasurer prior to the Board meeting held the first Monday of the month and then checks will be distributed at the general meeting, with the exception of bills in excess of $150 that can be submitted and paid upon request.
Vice President: No report.

Programs/Education: Linda Shaver reported on Sunday, January 15, from 2-3, Linda Publicover will be giving a lecture, “Things you may need to know.”
On January 31, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. there will be a “Skill Builder, Block of the Month.” Cathy Howell will do a demonstration on curves and circles.
Linda Shaver will check to see if there is interest in joining the national “Sew Along Group.”
Pam Branfuhr will be hosting Wednesday evening sewing beginning at 4 p.m.
Community Service: Donna Aybar reported community service projects are scheduled for February 7, February 17 or 18, and March 1. Details are on the website. Batting has been ordered.
Long Arm: Linda Publicover responded to an inquiry by Cathy Howell regarding the hydraulics. Linda has discussed the issue with Ron Paul.
Publicity: No report.
Sales: No report.
Social: No report.
Librarian: No report.
Historian: No report.
Webmaster: No report.
Display Window: No report.
Quilt Show: Karen Bogadi reported a Quilt Show is planned for March 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Those interested in helping should contact Millissa Masters, Jean Fry, or Karen Bogadi
Quilting 101: Linda Labenz stated there are 17 members participating in the project and the first class was held on January 5.
Challenge Quilt: Kathleen O’Connell reported we will have two windows available for displaying the challenge quilts in March.
Documentation: Donna Wisnoski reported the documentation project will commence again on January 13, and is scheduled for the second Friday of each month through May, from noon to 4 p.m.
Cookbook orders are still being taken and recipes can be submitted through Friday, January 13 to Chris Booth.
New members were introduced.
2017 budget was passed and posted.
Pam Branfuhr will be auditing the 2016 books.
The 2017 Opportunity Quilt, “Desert Ridge Trail,” was revealed to the members. It was pieced by Cheryl McGovern and quilted by Donna Cousino. Cathy Howell added the sleeve to display the quilt.
Karen Bogadi moved the meeting be adjourned, and Iris Weise seconded. Members approved.
