Jean Fry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 

The December 2018 Board meeting minutes stand approved as posted. 

President:  Welcome to the first 2019 meeting.

New members are introduced.

Linda Labenz has been asked to be an ambassador to quilt guild.  Will give tours of room and will help newcomers feel comfortable.  

Fire Marshall will be inspecting Jan. 24-26th.  Please know where exits are, fire extinguishers and alarms.  Remove electric  strips from tables.

Receipts that need paid please get to Jean until Cheryl’s name is on the account. 

Programs and Education: Kathy Brown:
Classes are filling up in hours. 
Sandy Crabtree will be teaching the pop-up bag on Sew Fun Night next  Monday evening.
Jan 29th, Joni Reynertson is teaching the North Star Quilt.  Class is Full.
Feb. 4, Sew Fun Evening, How to make a great binding.
Feb. 5, 12, Margaret Sharp and will teach Valentine’s placemats.  Both Classes full and Wait list.
Feb. 19th, Carole Schumacher, Jelly Roll Rug. 
March 5th – Option open
March 19th, Cathy Howell, Sew Together tote.  Class is full with a wait list.

Community Service: Judy Frank
This Sat. Receiving blankets for Abrazo Hospital for families.
Teddy Bears are also available to stuff.
Starts at 9:00 till (3)?  Goal is to get 30 blankets done.
Charity sew day is 3rd Friday of every month.
March 16th, Joni will teach easy block for hospice of AZ. 
Looking for someone to do the dog bed project.  You can do beds at home and then bring in finished dog beds.
Basket in corner, will be you to look through and use for scrap quilts.

Long Arm: Roberta Penchina:

Irma, Linda, Irene one of the four of us will teach you how to set up machine and certify you, and then you can use the long arm.  $3.00 an hour, minimum of $9.00 cost to use the long arm.  When you are using the machine, please make sure that you fill out the sheet completely.  Changes to the form to fill out:  Needle size will come off of the sheet.  You won’t need inches, just hours.  If you come in and it is not being used, feel free, but fill in sheet and pay.  Bobbin cases have been being damaged.  Please make sure that the machine is pushed back over the table and put your hand under the area to help catch the case if it drops.

Ideas of things to put in the post, please get them to me as I turn in by the 13th of month. 

Sales: No report. 

Social: Linda Rowe, Karen Rubsam:
We are sending out a Survey Monkey survey for members to fill out.  (e-mail is from Ronda).  If anyone wants to do it manually, then let us know.  We want to find out what you want to do on a social aspect.  It will come out this week.  Please fill it out and submit it.

 Any ideas or suggestions of what we may use it, please let me know.  A new page called In The Beginning.  This explains how Pebble Quilt Quilters got started.  I put on things that have to do with club, so let me know if you have anything.  

I am having surgery in a week, and will have a few weeks of recovery.  In the meantime, contact Jean Fry if you need anything.

Veteran’s Quilts: No Report

Opportunity Quilt:

This is a fundraiser.  One of our members makes a quilt, we sell raffle tickets and then draw for at our Christmas Luncheon.  We need someone to chair the committee for sale of tickets.  It was made by Sue Godwin.  Barb Mauer is quilting it and will show it at a future meeting. 

Feb. 8th:   If you have a quilt and want it documented, let Donna Wisnowski know and she will get is scheduled. 

Challenge quilt:
We have the big window for March and April. 
Hexie quilts due March 1st.  Can be place mats, runners, etc. 



The Sewing room is closed March 22nd and 23rd.  Art walk for Fine Arts
Tri-T – We will donate a quilt for their auction.  This is for underprivileged girls to help with their day camp costs.
Pebble Creek Yahoo – Cathy Howell – yahoo group just for quilters.  Looking for a pattern, or something related to work times, 

Sue Waples: Fabrics from Linda Adkins, will be sold from 10am-1 pm this coming Sunday.  Money goes back to Linda.  Back door of sewing room will be unlocked.  

Tori Benz-Hillstrom: Sampler group – 24 signed up.  If anyone is wanting support to/from others, please join our group.  

World War I quilt needs a home.

Pam – 1952 featherweight machine for sale.  Serviced.  Asking $325.
