The December 2018 Board meeting minutes stand approved as posted. 


President:  Jean Fry

Had a request from Sue and Emory Whaples regarding Linda Adkins’ fabric they have for sale.  They would like to sell more fabric on Sunday, Jan. 20th. 
Went to a Community Arts Center meeting.  They would like to have something to donate for their raffle to send under-privileged girls to camp. 
March 22nd and 23rd, the art group would like to have a meet the artist and would like to use the fabric arts room.  Room closed on those days.  Times to be determined. 
Budget is being worked on, and should be ready in the next couple of days. 
WW I quilt needs a home.  Karen and Linda will look into it. 
Sun City Festival Quilting Bees having a quilt show on Feb. 1st and 2nd.  It will be held at the community center at Sun City Festival.

New membership packets ready.  10 are available in room.  New discount are cards ready for members.
Have call into Crystal, banquet coordinator.  April and December luncheons dates are set. 
Membership cards for 2019 and discount cards are now available.

The current balance is $14, 883.  Treasurer’s report is available on the website.  Approximately 138 members have paid 2019 membership dues.

Bobbin case dropping is a problem.  Please be careful with cases.  Have bought two new ones.

Will pick up Christmas things in shop.

Looking online for ideas for quilters.  Might use survey monkey to see interest by members.  Will send to Ronda

Organized library cabinets. 

Webmaster: When contacting Ronda use   
Send info to Ronda ahead for Feb as she will be unable to respond from Jan. 25th for next couple of weeks.  

Display Window:  Cynthia will send something to Rhonda for info and planning. 

Veteran’s Quilts:  Request that this is a special Ad Hoc committee.  Motion made by Judy, Kathy second.  Discussion:  details will be left up to committee.  Ayes have it.  Will get a committee started on that.  

Opportunity Quilt: No report.
Documentation:  No report. 


Opportunity quilt is being quilted (Barb Maurer) and will be ready in a month or so.  Will need a committee for the opportunity quilt.  Parking lot festival is coming up – ready for that? 

Fire Marshall coming on week of Jan. 25th or 26th.  Know exits, fire extinguishers and alarm locations.
