Community Service: Donna, JoAnn, and Pam delivered 31 quilts this month for a total so far this year of 74. Bags were taken to the New Life Center. They were given a tour of the SW Advocacy Center, where our quilts are displayed on the walls. We need to send them four more quilts so all seven rooms will be decorated with quilts.
We have many completed tops; need a volunteer to cut batting and backings for them.
Donna demonstrated how she collects scraps in an old pillowcase; when full, sews it closed, then makes a covering of heavier upholstery fabric for making dog beds.
August 8th, from 1-4 pm will be a workshop to make dog beds.
August 15th, from 9-4 will be red, white and blue day.
