BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chris Booth, Iris Weise, Helen Phillips, JoEllen Cruze, Karen Bogadi, Judy Frank, Linda Shaver, Pam Murphy, Linda Publicover, Pam Branfuhr, Mary Sheldon, and Liz Gray.

Chris Booth called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. The April 3, 2017, Board minutes stand approved as posted.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS AND STANDING COMMITTEES:
President: No report.
Vice President: No report.
Secretary: No report.
Treasurer: JoEllen Cruze stated we have $13,378.25 in the treasury, and $4,900 in the long arm fund.
Programs/Education: Linda Shaver reported in April we had the Mom and Me Apron class by Donna Aybar, the folded wreath class by Jean Fry, and the curved log cabin skill builder’s class by Chris Booth.
Community Service: Judy Frank reported 3 quilts were given to Southwest Advocacy Group that they plan to hang on the walls to decorate their interview room. They also chose 3 additional quilt tops that will be given to them as soon as they have been quilted. These additional quilts will also be used to decorate their interview room.
Long Arm: No report.
Publicity: No report.
Sales: No report.
Social: Mary Sheldon reported the next social will be held in August.
Librarian: No report.
Historian: No report.
Webmaster: Ronda Jones reported those members with .aol emails have been experiencing problems receiving emails from the club. After doing some research, it was discovered that the problem was with AOL, but to alleviate the issue, members with .aol emails need to add email@example.com to their contacts so that emails from Ronda are not treated as spam. Ronda will contact those members to alert them of the issue and remedy.
Display Window: The aprons in the display window will be removed and Liz Gray will be putting a new display in the window for the month of May.
Challenge Quilt: No report.
Documentation: The May documentation was cancelled as Donna Wisnoski is out of town.
Opportunity Quilt: Kathleen O’Connell is looking into selling tickets at Arizona Quilts and Sun Valley Quilts.
Dog Beds. The Phoenix Humane Society has been contacted and we will be delivering dog beds to them.
Linda Shaver motioned that we have no Board meetings in July and August, with the understanding that the President could call a special Board meeting during those months if needed; but we will have membership meetings in July and August. Pam Murphy seconded the motion and it carried.
There will be a general membership meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8. The next Board meeting will be at 9:00 a.m. on June 5.
Karen Bogadi motioned the meeting be adjourned, and Iris Weiss seconded. Chris Booth adjourned the Board meeting at 9:20 a.m.
