BOARD MEETING
November 7, 2016 

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:  Linda Labenz, Chris Booth, Barb Van Trump, Iris Weise, Pam Branfuhr, Millissa Masters, Liz Gray, Sue Godwin, Joanne Kraatz, Linda Shaver, Donna Aybar, Linda Publicover and Jean Fry.
Also present: Webmaster-Ronda Jones. 

Linda called the meeting to order at 9:03 am.   Joanna Kraatz moved the minutes of the October, 2016, Board Meeting be accepted; Pam Branfuhr seconded; accepted by the members present. 

Reports of Officers and Standing Committees: 

President:  New members are Mary Lacy, Donna Barker and Nadine Eder. 

Vice President:  The December Luncheon will be on the 12th, 11am social, lunch at noon.  The choices for lunch are Southwestern Salad or Chicken Bruschetta Ciabatta.
Payment for the luncheon AND renewal of dues will be available at the November business meeting at check-in.
New members joining in November will only have to pay 2017 dues and may attend in December. 

Treasurer: There is approximately $12,627.76 in the treasury. 

Programs:  Jackie Kunkel will be here on November 14.  Doors open at 5:30, Trunk show will start at 6:00.
Barb Maurer will be presenting "Quilting 101" starting in January.  More information will be coming soon. 

Community Service: Thirty quilts were donated in October, 208 have been donated so far this year.
November 16, a charity sew will held making a quilt called "Chinese Coins".  Time is 9am-3pm, very easy sewing, come join us.
We will be posting on the e-group "Looking for Veterans that would like to receive a Red/White/Blue lap size quilt as a THANK YOU for your service made by the PebbleCreek Quilters".  This will be headed by Barb Van Trump 

Long arm:  Fourteen quilts were quilted for charity and 11 for personal.
The hydraulics are still not working.  A new plug will be purchased for the machine. 

Opportunity Quilt, 2016:  At the Rim Country Quilt Show we won at 1st Place and Judges Choice.
This is a good show to enter your quilts in as they are very generous with ribbons.

Webmaster:  Ronda Jones 

Documentation Project:  Millissa Masters is putting together a brochure for this project.

Unfinished Business:

Opportunity Quilt 2017:  It is nearing completion and will be revealed in January. 

New Business:  Quilting 101, by Barb Maurer will be limited to approximately 15 people.  Sign-ups will be coming soon to the website.
It was proposed that the Guild pick up a portion of the cost of the December luncheon.  Chris Booth moved that we charge $15 per member and the Guild pick up the remainder of the cost plus the tip, Pam Branfuhr seconded. Voted and passed. 

November 14 is the General Business meeting that will be held in the Ballroom, doors open at 5:30, starts at 6:00. 

Next Board meeting will be December 5th.
